"Fourfer" - single variety cider

Our single variety Tremlett’s Bitter ciders are called “Fourfer”. Why? In the Boxing Day Ashes Test Match of 2010, Chris Tremlett initiated the collapse of Australia’s first innings and went on to claim 4 wickets for 26 runs. Cricketers talk of such an achievement as “Fourfer 26”. There is no connection, so far as we know, between the Tremlett cricketing family and the Tremlett after whom the apple is named, but we had to call it something.

A few weeks before Chris Tremlett’s achievement - on 3rd December 2010 to be precise - we had the huge pleasure of being at the Adelaide Oval and seeing Australia reduced to 2 for 3 (or 3 for 2, as the Aussies say), the Australian captain Ricky Ponting out for a golden duck (ct Swan, b Anderson) and our (very gracious) Australian hosts somewhat bewildered. The happiest days of life revolve around family and friends. Winning The Ashes in Australia - and being there - comes next. We don’t expect to sell much “Fourfer” in Australia.
